Past Events:

April 2nd Spaghetti Supper

The I-70 Tea Party's fundraiser on April 2nd, coined “Dinner and a Movie” was well attended. Over a    hundred people met at the Byers American Legion Hall that evening and enjoyed the homemade spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings. The varied homemade desserts brought in by attendees also got “two thumbs up” from the crowd.

In addition to the feast served, there was food for thought. The hard-hitting documentary entitled, “Agenda” was shown after the dinner. It reveals American history not taught in schools. Through interviews and documents uncovered through the Freedom of Information Act, the movie outlines how Americans have been caught up in emotional causes which are not quite what they seem and which serve other masters.

It was an evening of education about our country at a time when more people are interested in our politics than ever before.  The I-70 Tea Party is getting requests to show this documentary in the I-70 Corridor again and are making plans for more showings. People realize that our country, like our families, cannot just keep spending more and hope that our incomes will increase by magic. Many feel that for the first time in living history, government overspending is endangering future generations which is why the Tea Party message resonates with more and more Americans.
